Tagged : )

I've been tagged : ) ! Actually I've been tagged several times over the past month and I have to apologize because I got a little hasty in trying to clean up my email inbox last week and lost a couple of my tags, which makes me a little sad...so if you tagged me and I don't mention you...please accept my humble apology (very sorry I am... as Yoda would say)! I've been tagged by these super nice & VERY talented ladies to tell you 7 Random things about myself:

Deena from a Necessary Creativity

Angel from Angelosity

Marie from Stamp Lounge

Just click on their names to check out their AWESOME blogs!! Thanks girls...and now, onto those 7 random things. Hmmmm.....

1. I play several musical instruments...right now, primarily the Piano. But in the past I've played the bass Guitar, accoustic and electric Guitars, the Baritone, the Balilika, the Recorder (in the 4th grade, along with the rest of the class...hey, that still counts) and the violin.

2. I like to run/jog but I'm not very good at it. I don't take enough time to train. I ran a 10K (very slowly) about 5 years ago and hope to do it again and maybe even train for a marathon one day! I made it my goal during the 10K to jog the entire time...which I did (very slowly), although I had fast walkers passing me on the uphills (that makes me giggle now, but didn't at the time).

3. I'm my own worst critic and sometimes I need to totally get over myself and the fact that I'm not {gasp!} perfect! God's working on that part of me...actually He's working on a lot of other parts too : )

4. I have a Tabby cat named Gabby, which is short for Gabriella, but it turns out she's not very angelic, infact she's rather stubborn & demanding, plus she's been known to chew on my cards and stamping supplies...so I just call her Gabby : )

5. I was born in the same town I currently live in. My parents, myself and my children all graduation from the same High School! Go Bulldogs !!!

6. I drink WAY too much coffee and I love it WAY too much to ever give it up!! It's no good trying to have a conversation with me before my first cup. You'd have a better chance of having an intelligent conversation with the toaster.

7. I don't really like talking about myself...I can think of many more interesting topics. But this does make 7...so I'm done...yay : )!!!!!

Now I get to do some tagging...but I'll be back to do that in a day or two. I need to be up early tomorrow and will be heading to Eugene (2 hours away) to attend a Copic Certification Class! Should be fun !!!

This little box is a variation of the Valentine box that I made back in January. I'll be sharing that tutorial with you soon... I'd do it tonight, but if I dont' get to bed soon, no amount of coffee is going to help me in the morning ; ) ... know what I mean?

Supplies for the Elzybells Dream box ~ Stamps: Elzybells Fairygirl Paper: Orchic Opulence, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White Ink: Burnt Umber Palette, Copic Markers Accessories: Small & Large Oval Punches, 3/16" corner rounder, Eastern Elegance Rub-ons, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Sakura Clear Stardust pens, Marvy Giga Scallop Square (purple)

Hope you find LOTS of reasons to SMILE : ) today !!

Featuring My Friend

Have you seen these new Carousel notes??? They are so cool! It is my pleasure to share two beautiful Carousel Notes that were made by my friend ... super nice, super sweet & super talented .... Nancy Littrell!! You know when something is just so great, you can't wait to share it? Well, that's how I feel about Nancy and her amazing cards. So, I'm very excited to share them with you today! She stopped by last week to show me some goodies from the Occasions Mini Catalog. It's always fun & inspiring to see what she's working on... and when she pulled this sky carousel note out of the box...wow! I knew they would be going on my next order. They're bigger than I realized, great 6 x 6" size, and they come with these gorgeous chocolate chip envelopes.

Another great thing about the Carousel Notes is that they come in 3 colors that coordinate perfectly with the new Afternoon Tea DP ~Groovy Guava, Wild Wasabi & Soft Sky! Nancy is one of those people who radiates kindness, beauty and a refreshingly positive outlook in everything she does. I think that really show up in her projects. She doesn't blog (yet)...but she does have an amazing GALLERY over at SCS, so you can check out her gallery, including details on how she made both of these wonderful Carousel notes... right HERE! Thanks Nance, for letting me feature your beautiful cards today and for being such a great friend...you're the best!
And...speaking of talented stampers ~ I was blog tagged, by Marie Cottrell from Stamp Lounge!! Looks like she just got back from the Regional Convention and she has some really great samples to show you over at her blog! Plus, she's made some cards with the new stamp set, She's all That....omg...they're sooo sweet! Check 'em out HERE! Aren't they fantastic? After seeing her cards, that set just moved way up to the top of my wish list!! Thanks Marie for the tag AND for the inspiration! I'll answer those tag questions and tag a couple of other stampers in an upcoming post = ) !
Besides for celebrating my daughter's 23rd birthday this weekend, I had the pleasure of spending time with my friends, meet some new friends and re-connecting with an old friend...at my workshops! Thanks Tonya & Sandi for hosting great events! You guys are AWESOME!!

Coming up later this week....I'll be showing you the little Easter basket we made at my workshops over the weekend and the tutorial too = )... You're gonna love it!

Thanks for stopping by & Have a great evening!!

First...before the tag, I wanted to show you this beautiful card I received from Dawn Easton (TreasureOilerDesignz)! Dawn was the grand prize winner of my blog candy last month and she was nice enough to send me this sweet card! Thank YOU Dawn, I LOVE it = )!!

And...yes, I've been tagged, not once, but twice (lol), by Dawn, from Dawn's Special Creations and Diane, from Diane's Designs, to tell you 7 random things about myself! I've been Tagged, by Nancy Riley

I'm honored to have been "tagged" by Nancy Riley, aka stampinat6213 on Splitcoast... one of the nicest and most talented new people I've come accross in the stamping world. Of course, she also has a great blog...iStamp: http://stampinat6213.blogspot.com/! I just can't say enough about her beautiful cards and projects. They're amazing. You just need to hop over to her blog and check them out, you'll be glad you did!! In honor being tagged, I cased one of the cards from her splitcoast gallery (the one at the top of this post). Her original card can be seen at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/698791 .

Now for the tag...I supposed to tell you
7 random things about myself

1. I have a wonderful family, including my husband & 2 daughters, both in college. What can I say, they are the best! Couldn't ask for a better husband or kids...they bless my sox off = ) !!!! This picture is of the 4 of us (I'm on the right) and it was taken at my daughter's wedding last New Year's eve.

2. I love Smiles. They're free, but worth a million bucks! I spent the first part of my adult life caught up in a very "busy" lifestyle. I had the opportunity about a year and a half ago to make some changes and I absolutely love what I'm doing now. I used to just pass by people, in a hurry to get somewhere. Now, I take the time to look around me, whereever I am, and I try to be the first to smile. It's a little intimidating at first, but once you try it...it's kind of fun! You'll be amazed at how many people smile right back. And it just feels good to acknowledge those around you in a positive way. We live in a "fast food world" and there's just something really powerful about a genuine smile!!

3. I'm a certified scuba diver. I don't get to dive as often as I'd like, but I LOVE diving in tropical waters.

4. I play piano...at church and assisted living facilities. Both are very kind and gracious audiences = )

5. I'm a punch-a-holic! It's nearly impossible for me to make a card without using a punch.

6. I became a Stampin Up Demonstrator in Feb 07 after attending a workshop at my friend Kim's house. I did some stamping before that, but BOY-O-BOY, everything got so much easier once I discovered Stampin Up and Splitcoast!! It's not only allowed me to grow in my stamping abilities, but opened up so many opportunities to meet new friends and get re-aquainted with old friends. It's just been soooooo much fun = )

7. I live in a small town on the Oregon Coast. I graduated from the same high school that my parents and children graduated from. North Bend High School, home of the Bulldogs!! How's that for small town?

Okay girls...
