Snowman Soup

This is one of those projects that most have you have probably seen before, but it's a fun and easy little way to send a little Christmas cheer to someone special. On a cold winter morning, who wouldn't love to receive this sweet little packet! The STAR of this little project is the Snowman...he's sooooo cute! He can be found in the holiday mini catalog, the MERRY AND BRIGHT stamp set...and is only available for one more week! Just click HERE to see the entire set and the rest of the Holiday Mini Catalog!! Lots of great stuff in there.
You can google snowman soup and find a million corny poems....my little packet features this one:

"When it's so cold outside that you holler and whoop, it's time to bring out some snowman soup. Pour your packet of cocoa in a fun winter mug...add some yummy snowballs and find a place to get snug. Now pour in hot water, stir with the cane a time or two, take a nibble of chocolate, the snowman soup's ready for you!"

The packet itself isn't anything special, but when you add a few pieces of colorful cardstock, dp and ribbon...it comes to life! The Hershey's nuggets are wrapped in scraps (1 x 3") of Dashing DP. The snowman is stamped in Basic Black ink, colored with SU Old Olive and Real Red Markers and layered up on the 1 1/4, 1 3/8 and Scallop Circle punches. A little paper piercing on the scallop and the Cardstock is Real Red, Old Olive and Shimmery White. The finishing touches are 5/8" Olive ribbon, red gingham ribbon, silver cord and of course....Dazzling Diamonds Glitter applied with the 2-way glue pen on the snowman's cheeks and belly = )!

Recipe for snowman soup: Packet of Cocoa, Candycane, chocolate, marshmallows

Have a Bright and Merry Tuesday = ) !!!
