Time to Celebrate

What an exciting day....Today kicks off my GRAND OPENING! Today also kicks off Stampin' Up's November special...PARTY PAPER PROMOTION!! Those are two great reasons to celebrate!!!!
Stampin Up's special is VERY special indeed! You've GOT to check out the Party Paper Promotion HERE! ~ When you purchase 3 packages of Stampin' Up's gorgeous designer paper...you get the 4th for FREE! Yep, FREE!!! And, there's no limit. That is a really great deal!! I had someone ask me this week what they could make with dp...wow! All I could think of was, what CAN'T you make with dp. It dresses everything up! Even a little hershey nugget looks like a vip when it's wrapped in dp = )
Okay...now for the blog candy....(drum roll please).....Here's how it will work. For the first 4 weeks in November, I will post a fun challenge on Thursdays (Nov 1,8,15,22). At the end of each week, I will select 2 winners. One will be a random drawing from everyone who played and the other will be my personal choice.The weekly contest officially ends Wednesdays at 5pm, Pacific time. I will post the 2 winners and their projects! On Friday, November 30th, I will place the names of the 8 weekly winners into a drawing....and one lucky duck, will win the blog candy pictured above!! I've included some essentials that every stamper would enjoy:
A pair of snowman sox (to keep your feet warm while you stamp)
A scented candle
2 packets of Cocoa
A cute little snowman box
An assortment of beautiful red & green ribbons
A "Merry" Stamp
1 Icicle Stickles
Chocolate = )
So, if you want to play along, here's this week's 2-part challenge: Make something, other than a card, with designer paper (it doesn't have to be SU) AND give it away in a completely RANDOM act of kindness!!! It doesn't have to made entirely out of dp, but dp should be a major component. There are a couple examples pictured in the blog candy...the candle, the box...you get the idea. It doesn't have to be expensive....you can dress pretty much ANYTHING in dp and it becomes something special!! Here's the important part. You can't enter until you've actually given the item away. If you have a fun story to share about giving it away, I'd love to hear it. It's so fun to bless someone with a completely unexpected, just because, little gift. If you need some ideas, the Stampin Up website has project ideas & instructions listed right along with the Party Paper Promotion deails...HERE. Sooooo....if you're ready....the contest begins.....NOW!!! To be officially entered, you must post a comment to this entry and include a link to your project (preferably uploaded to splitcoast, but you can also link me to your blog if don't, gasp, have a splitcoast gallery). When you upload to Splitcoast, let's use the keywords, PSG111 (for papersmiles, grandopening 111).
Okay...have some fun, bless someone....and have a great week!!! I'm going to play along too, so I've got to get busy and make a little something for someone special = )

What a nice challenge Nancy!
My RAK is on its way to Australia in an ebay package.....the person bought a cute Santa candy dish, so I thought I would include this with a little stamp inside. The colors I used matched the candy dish perfectly!!!
I won't have her reaction until she receives it, but I hope she likes it! I also included a little card which I didn't photograph! :(
Here it is:

OMG....I did it! Got my mini gift bag set posted in the Nick of Time :-) Nancy, you are just such an inspiration. I made my bag and cards for my gf'd who had a complete knee replacement yesterday. I just delivered the set to BAH today and will Pam ever be surprised as I had already given her a get well card. Enjoy and thanks again for the challenge. BTW, I heard a rumor that Nancy is working on a tutorial for this very bag :-)
