Blooming Beautiful

This is my card for Wednesday's SCS sketch challenge, SC177. I kept my card really simple. Everytime I'd tried to add more, it just took away from the beautiful image. The image is from the Blooming Beautiful set (Occasions Mini Catalog)... it was stamped with Black Stazon onto watercolor paper. Then, I watercolored it : )! Yep, that's right, no Copics were used in the coloring of this image (I know, it's hard to believe)!! I used 4 things, 1) a Watercolor brush, 2) water, 3) Real Red Classic ink pad & 4) an Old Olive marker....how simple is that? My friend Nancy Littrell shared this stamped image with me (don't you love how she stamped the definition right over the stem?) and gave me some excellent tips for watercoloring. Thanks Nancy, you're awesome!!! It was so easy and fun. All that shading you see was just done by adding varying amounts of Real Red ink. I colored in parts of the stem with my Old Olive Marker, then used the watercolor brush to blend. Just for fun, I added a few shimmery highlights with myspica clear glitter pen, it's really subtle.

Quick post today...lots to do : ) ! Hope you have a great day!!

Supplies for the card~
