Eagle's Wings

I'm back : ) ... Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. I've been helping my daughter with some ongoing health issues. She was having a really tough time last week, so I spent a little extra time with her, in Corvallis. This scripture from Our Daily Bread Design's new set, Eagle's Wings, is just exactly what we're trusting in. "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renw their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles" Isaiah 40:31. No clear answers, lots of symptoms, questions & challenges over the past 3 years, and we're still waiting...and trusting God, one day at a time. Kelley's new set is really beautiful, and you can see the entire set along with details right HERE! Now that I'm back, I'm sure hoping to get back into my stamping routine (good therapy!), so I should have more samples to show you soon : )Here's a closeup of that gorgeous eagle! I colored him with my Copics (E00, E34, E37, Y17, Y19 & C3) then cut him out. It was fun to practice some of what I learned at the Copic Certification class. I usually lean a little more toward fun, whimsical little critters, so this Eagle was a bit daunting at first, but those Copics were perfect for creating shading and variation.

Oh, I will have that little box template that I talked about last week, posted sometime in the next couple of days. I'd planned on posting that last week, but with being out of town longer than expected, that got put on hold...I will have it up for you soon : ) ... promise!

First of all, I just prayed for your daughter and your family.

Second, I adore this card! I have two great church loves...my current and former churches (we moved and had to leave the former)..our former was in San Antonio and called Eagle's Nest. This verse was always used. I think I'll buy this set and make a card to send to them. I miss them...

Adore your coloring!

I totally know what you mean having to deal with a child that has health issues. I have a daughter with special needs and it can be tough at times. Our week has been especially challenging and your card with this scripture was just what I needed. If it were not for the Lord, I don't think I would have made it this far. We can both hang in there because of our faith in Christ. And I have all of the stamp sets at Our Daily Bread on my list to buy!!!

I am sure Nance that this gorgeous card will really uplift Meg's spirits! She is so young and filled with life to have such confusing health issues. Give her my love and hopefully we can get together soon to watercolor :-)
