Lavender & Gray

Good Monday Morning to ya = ) ! Isn't this a fun color combo? So crisp and clean. Lavender Lace, Going Gray, Basic Gray & Whisper White :) !! Quick post today, to share a couple cards...The first one is for Beate's weekend sketch, WSC42...great sketch and perfect for my new Think Happy Thoughts stamp set. Also used my new Twill background stamp. I tried a little trick that Cami did with this BG stamp... I stamped the Twill BG stamp once vertically, then re-inked, turned the stamp horizontally, and re-stamped. It makes the background look like gingham! Isn't that fun? I don't know about you, but sometimes it's hard for me to make a card without DP. For this card, I made my own DP using the little flower stamp and the twill (good to remember...yes, we can make cards without DP, it IS possible, lol!). I thought white eyelets would look great with this crisp clean little card, but they ended up looking too plain. So, I popped some tiny self adhesive rhinestones in the centers, and it brought them to life and coordinated nicely the the purple rhinestone brad I used with the sentiment =)!!

For this next card, I used a lot of the same supplies, but switched to the Blooming with Love set. I've really enjoyed this set and especially like this little watercan image...there's a sweet simplicity about it. I stamped a couple flowers in and around the can then stamped that same flower image around the edges of the sentiment piece~

Tomorrow is April 8th, so I'll be posting my Divine Design Bible Challenge project tomorrow, along with the other Scrpiture Chicks! Fun stuff, can't wait to show you :) !!!

Great cards. I very rarely use any purples in my cards. I think I will have to try this. Thanks for sharing.
