Punchy Penguin Fun

Here's one of the projects we made at my workshop this month. A Punch Penguin card inspired by Mercedes Weber again. She submitted this winning idea to SU, using punches to create fun holiday tags. I modified my penguin quite a bit, but the inspiration came from Mercedes for sure!! You have to see the adorable pilgrims she has posted on her blog today...check it out right HERE....they're simply adorable! Thanks for all the punchy inspiration Mercedes :) !!!

Punches I used for my Penguin:

Head: Black 1 3/8" Circle

Arms (wings): Black Small Oval

Body: Black Wide Oval & White Large Oval

Feet & Beak: Tangerine Boho Blossoms

Eyes: White 1/4" Circle, Black Double Circle

Earmuffs: Ski Slopes DP 1/2" Circle, Real Red Band 1 1/4" Circle & 1 3/8" Circle

Hat for the Penguin below: Real Red Scallop Square & 1/4" Circle

Snowballs for the Penguin below: White 1/2" Circle Punch with Crystal Effects & Chunky Glitter

Here are a couple more tags I whipped up for examples. They are so much fun to make!!
I was delighted and honored to receive this very sweet award today from Miss Boo ~ Designs by Boo :) ! Miss Boo is the best. I've been admiring her work for a long time and always find her blog inspiring and creative!! And now I have the pleasure of passing this award on to a few blogging friends. This is the hardest part...narrowing it down to just a few. Here's my pick for today's Kreativ Blogger award ~
Angel: Angelosity
Christina: Flowers & Ink
Silke: My Life
The rules are simple. Just pass the award onto 5 of your creative blogging friends. Leave them a comment to let them know about their award and link back to me! Easy Shmeezy!! I just counted and it looks like I nominated 7...so I stretched the rules just a bit ;) !
Supplies for my card (Size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2) ~ Stamps: All Holidays Paper: Real Red, Baja Breeze, Ski Slopes DP, Whisper White Ink: Black Stazon Tools/Accessories: (see list above for punches), Paper piercing tool/mat pack, Red Gingham & Real Red 1/4" ribbon, Dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by ... hope you find some inspiration in those punchy projects :) !!!!

Love your punchy tags! I will have to try these for sure! I have enough punches that surely I can make something similiar! And thank you for the award. I am so bad at passing these on, but I will put it on my to-do list. You're such a sweetie!
